Managing a busy team as Creative Lead to produce effective, engaging B2B campaigns for Bupa UK kept me busy for 2 years from 2019 during a very challenging time for small businesses across the globe. The mission brief changed from marketing to reassurance, education and information as COVID-19 stopped the nation in its tracks and health suddenly rose to the top of everyone’s list of priorities.

During my tenure at Bupa, I coordinated quarterly creative campaigns alongside continuous updating of Bupa’s huge archive of customer material. Work included print, digital, online ads and social posts.

When you’re giving budding and experienced artists the tools to unleash their creativity, you need to do something equally imaginative to catch their eye and stir their senses. Reeves has long been a favourite of artists of all abilities and is one of the UK’s favourite names in art materials. Their unique new branding and tone of voice, applied across everything from packaging to digital, will make them an even more inspirational choice for artists. Getting the chance to help relaunch a magical brand from my childhood was an absolute joy. So was being asked to write new on-pack copy for the striking new packaging and add a splash more colour to the new Reeves website.

The Nissan UK dealer group is a very busy network indeed. With a massive requirement for marketing in the shape of press ads, posters, online and radio, the agency responsible is equally busy. Who’d be a copywriter working with a team of designers and art directors to keep the whole thing moving forward, meeting a multitude of deadlines on everything from new vehicle launch campaigns to MOT reminder letters? For their 2016 enrolment campaign, Stockport College required a cross-media campaign to give everyone from school leavers to career changers good reasons to study at the college. Working with Modern English, a bold new look was created for press and outdoor ads, social media, admobiles and enrolment microsite. This was followed by complete overhaul of their main website look and content.

National rail operator East Coast Trains didn’t just run regular mainline services on their busy route. They also ran a popular loyalty scheme for customers, plus held regular ticket and cross sell promotions. All kept on schedule by a coordinated CRM programme including emails, texts, online ads and regular website updates. Working with the team at Amaze, I helped create these messages to remind members of the treats they’d earned while travelling, inspire them to discover new destinations and guide them to the best shopping, dining and entertainment at East Coast destinations.
